When David Lynch returned to Twin Peaks for the movie prequel called “Fire Walk with Me”, he did so to set the character of Laura Palmer to be free. “Fire Walk with Me” gives her agency and purpose; it portrays her as a tragic hero fighting against an evil that she resists even as she's powerless to fully stop it.
Like in the movie, Diego Maradona, during his entire life was a hero for some, an evil for others and he was also powerless to fully stop it.
